Is-sinjal għal SALA TA’ L-OPERAZZJONIJIET magħmul minn żewġ partijiet. (i) Fl-ewwel parti jsir is-sinjal għal KAMRA. L-idejn jieħdu l-forma ta’ 1 bil-pala tal-id tħares ’il barra. Il-werrej ta’ id imiss mal-werrej tal-id l-oħra. L-idejn jitbiegħdu laġenba u lura u jiffurmaw linja b’angolu rett. Imbagħad jerġgħu jimxu lejn in-nofs sakemm jiltaqgħu. (ii) Fit-tieni parti, id waħda tieħu l-forma ta’ A bis-saba’ l-kbir stirat ’il barra u titqiegħed bil-pala tħares ’l isfel. Is-saba’ l-kbir imiss taħt l-għonq u jinżel ’l isfel.

Jekk wieħed ikun qed jirreferi għal operazzjoni partikolari, s-sinjal jista’ jinbidel billi s-saba’ l-kbir jimxi fuq il-parti tal-ġisem relevanti.

The sign for OPERATING THEATRE consists of two parts. (i) The first part is the sign for ROOM. This is made with both hands that take the shape of 1 with the palms facing outwards. The index fingers touch each other and then move to the side and backwards forming a right angle, then back to the middle until the index fingers meet again. (ii) In the second part one hand takes the shape of A with the thumb stretched out and is with the palm facing downwards. The thumb touches a point below the neck and moves down a fair distance.

If a specific operation is being referred to, then the sign may change such that the thumb moves along the relevant part of the body.
